This is another my mentor recommended. This apple has a pear flavoring that reminds you of, well, pears. The Hudsons Golden Gem does that for me, too. In the book Apples of Uncommon Character it is noted the following, "Like vanilla pudding infused with pear essence. Early in the season, the richness can be masked by a blast of lemony acid, but this gives way to a yellow-cake flavor." That is one description that took careful consideration!
