With it's excellent qualities that are for cider (sharp), eating after being in storage, and baking, this apple won the likes of George Washington, Benjamin Frankiln, and Thomas Jefferson. This apple has loads of history, and it should for as good as it is. We started growing this one in 2012, and it will always be part of the orchard. The apple is slightly russeted and is a green apple with yellow and then sometimes a bit of red blush in the most sunny areas of the tree. It has been said that this apple is self-fertile. I've only read about that, I can't say I've tried to find out for myself.
