Wow! This one is an Asian pear crossed with the Summercrisp pear. Well that explains it. No post harvest ripenning with this one, eat it right off the tree. It is said to be able to store this for 2-3 months, but I haven't had any around to try that as they all get sold or eaten. Fireblight resistance and the hardiness is such an added bonus to my new favorite Asian pear!
