The glossy berries are firm, plump, and loaded with vitamin C. The taste is between black currant and gooseberry flavor, sweet and satisfying. A Gooseberry and Currant cross, takes pruning well and is encouraged to help prevent disease and stimulate production. Fruits are abundant starting early July, usually the second year. Resistant to white pine blister rust.
