Comfrey we have here at the nursery is the Bocking 14, seed sterile version. We use this for a fantastic mulching plant within close proximity of our fruit trees. It is also considered a dynamic accumulator of soil nutrients from way down deep, down to eight feet in heavier ground. This plant is used for compost teas, as a compost pile activator, animal fodder, and more. Comfrey can be used medicinally too, but that is a different dinner (we can talk about that later). I will also mention that when in bloom, not only is it pretty, but the bees are attracted to it too!
