Catalpa speciosa This fast growing tree has few branches at an early age. Once branched, ascending limbs are gnarled and twisted. In June, 2" long whit flowers appear in 4"-8" panicles. Fruit is a long persistant pod. Great for Xeriscapes, it is very tolerant and adaptable. When it is flowering, it looks as though the tree is full of popcorn!
