The Chippewa is known to be self-fruitful, though we have not been able to prove this ourselves simply because of all the blueberry bushes we have growing around. What this means is that you could plant one of these and get fruit from it without the pollination aid of other varieties. Medium size fruit, about 90 berries per cup. Expect 3-7 pounds per harvest. It definitely is a hardy and productive plant, even if Winter temps. get to -40F.
